Why should you despair and not want to live anymore because of diabetes when modern advancement in medical science now has highly advanced solutions that work? It's only the ignorant people that die from diabetes nowadays. If you have the right information and access to the right medication, you will live long and well, despite having diabetes. There are many who are surviving it. You can too, if you do what they do.
I know it's difficult to be constantly monitoring what you eat and drink, but if you truly value life, you should - to keep your diabetes under control. After all, you only have one life to live. Ensuring it's worthwhile is a good bet.
Remember that as a diabetic patient you shouldn't get stressed up at all because high level of stress can create higher blood glucose level. So, always ensure you stay out of activities and situations that will stress you up. If things get heated up in your workplace or family, take a break instead of getting stressed up.
A simple exercise that you can do on a daily basis to help you manage your diabetes is walking. If your place of work isn't so far away from your home, you can walk there every day, rather than take the car or bus. It's not the walking alone that will do the trick. It's the consistency. The more you do it, the more it helps. This way you can banish your previous life of inactivity and replace it with a new one of physical activity, each and every day.
Those that are always stressed up should do everything they can to keep the stress down or they will continue to get their diabetes up. You see, stress has been said to be a silent killer. It's worse when you have diabetes because if not controlled, stress for diabetic patients is a sure and fast killer.
I don't care how busy you can get, don't succumb to the temptation of eating junk foods and starch. Instead, take the time out each day to eat very good and balanced diet. Also, don't forget the importance of taking fruits as well as vegetables. Doing these consistently can help to keep your diabetes under control.
I wonder why diabetic patients worry themselves to death because they are asked to engage in exercise, diet and weight loss all through their lives. With or without diabetes, these three actions can keep you healthier and make you live longer. So, why shouldn't we all want to do these three things - whether we have diabetes or not?
If you are like me, you just can't do without coffee or tea, but as a diabetic, you have to stay away from coffee or tea because of sugar. But if you must, then ensure you don't put sugar in your coffee or tea. But if you must, then you can use honey instead of sugar in your tea or coffee.
