Starting the list is really a somewhat fresh drummer, many might challenge that he is not actually a punk drummer and more of a metal one but I disagree, it's right that he's partial to calm it down and do several doom style fills yet deep-down he is really a punk rocker-
Steve Jocz -AKA "Stevo"Born on July 23, 1981. Steve is mostly well known for his drumming within the Canadian punk band Sum 41. A really high-speed and tricky drummer, he's able to flip the feel of a song instantly. Only one of the small number of punk drummers that has the ability to slide in cheesy metal fills and get away with handling it. He is also notorious for his lavatory comedy which is a obvious indicator of punk maturity/immaturity- you call it!
Travis BarkerBorn 14/11/1975. Maybe best established for his drumming in Blink 182 he's also drummed for lots of alternative groups. Travis sits in at number 4 not merely as for his impressive speed and timing but also for his comprehensive collection of styles from Hip-hop to Punk, Country to Pop.
Tre Cool (real name Frank Edwin Wright III)Born 09/12/1972. He is one of the original (pretty much) 3 piece that are Green Day. Leaning extensively closer to the pop section of punk as a drummer, Tre certainly aided Green Day grasp the international audience that pushed them to megastars. If he been just another, breakneck speed, cliched drummer the band might have toiled to attract such a enormous market.
Josh FreeseBorn December 25, 1972. He is mostly renowned for his drumming in The Vandals yet can list a bunch of additional groups and achievements. A breakneck speed drummer he's able to slow it right down and unite with the finest and has performed for Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Guns N' Roses as if to prove the point. Josh's solo works can also present a deliberate, more refrained drumming manner demonstrating that a fast pace is not all nevertheless for me I prefer the Vandals noise.
Erik Sandin-AKA "Smelly"Born on July 29, 1966. Erik is the long-lasting drummer for NOFX. Erik was initially a founder member of the band but departed two years later in 1983. In 1986 he was persuaded to re-join the band but suffered from heroin addiction until 1992 when he booked into a rehab clinic and has been off the drugs ever since. Whilst Erik maybe not the top of everyones list, for anyone who enjoys the flawlessness of NOFX then there is absolutely no rival.
